FAQ
If you are working, you can take seven hours of career guidance every six years, with financial assistance from the Flemish government.You pay for your career guidance with two career vouchers or “Cheques”. The first Career Cheque is good for four hours of counselling and the second for three hours.
- You live in Flanders or Brussels.
- You work full-time or part-time as an employee or self-employed person.
- You have accumulated at least seven years of work experience (or 2,555 days) over your entire career in employment or self-employment.
- You have not attended career counselling with VDAB Career Cheques in the past six years.
- You are willing to follow the counselling through the intermediary of a career center. (Celine is affiliated with “Travvant People First”).
- You are willing to follow the career counselling in Dutch.
You can order VDAB Career Cheques:
- Online through the VDAB website. To do so, you need a Mijn loopbaan-account. Do you already have such an account? Then order your career cheques via https://www-login.vdab.be. No Mijn loopbaan-account yet? Then register first via https://www.vdab.be/mijnloopbaan and click on “Bestel loopbaancheques”.
- Call toll-free 0800 30 700 (every weekday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) -in Dutch only
VDAB will check whether you are entitled to Career Cheques or not.
Celine and career center “Travvant People First” offer the guarantee that your career counselling will be treated with complete confidentiality. Moreover, no substantive information is passed on to the VDAB or the Flemish Government.
